Status and known network issues

This page is checked from outside our own network every few minutes. If you reached a security warning on your way here, the cause is almost always a filter sitting between your device and the site rather than the site itself.

Try this first

Our checks pass from outside networks, so a warning on your screen points to something local. These take under a minute each.

  1. Switch networks. Turn off Wi-Fi and load the site on cellular data, or move to a different Wi-Fi network. If it loads there, the block is in the first network, not on the site.
  2. Pause Spectrum Security Shield or your antivirus HTTPS scanning, then reload.
  3. Try a different browser on the same device to rule out one browser's cached certificate state.
  4. Open ripthelabels.com by typing it directly rather than following an older bookmark or link.

Known network and provider issues

These are the filters we have confirmed can block ripthelabels.com while our certificate is valid and the site is up.

Spectrum Security Shield

Spectrum's Security Shield filter has flagged ripthelabels.com as suspicious on some home connections. Because the filter inspects encrypted traffic, your browser sees the interception rather than our certificate and shows a security warning or an SSL protocol error. Our certificate is valid the whole time.

What to doOpen the Spectrum app or My Spectrum account, go to Security Shield, and either pause it or add ripthelabels.com to the allowed list. Reload the page after saving.

Antivirus HTTPS scanning

Avast, AVG, Kaspersky, ESET, and Bitdefender all ship an HTTPS or web shield that decrypts traffic to scan it. When it does not trust its own replacement certificate, the browser refuses the connection.

What to doTurn off HTTPS scanning or web shield in your antivirus settings, or add ripthelabels.com as an exclusion.

Office and school networks

Corporate proxies and school filters do the same interception on a larger scale, sometimes blocking new domains by default until a category review clears them.

What to doAsk whoever manages the network to allow ripthelabels.com, or place the order from a personal connection.

Old or unsynced devices

A device with a badly wrong clock, or one that stopped receiving certificate updates years ago, cannot validate current certificates on any site.

What to doSet the date and time to update automatically, install pending system updates, then reload.

Still stuck

Run the connection check and copy the report it generates, then send it to hello@ripthelabels.com. It tells us which network is filtering the site so we can request a review with that provider. You can also place your order from a different network in the meantime, and nothing about your order is affected by any of this.

Our only web address is https://ripthelabels.com. We never ask you to bypass a certificate warning on a different domain.
